Business Development Manager – Spain

ABOUT THE TEAM
The space team in Datel is oriented towards developing innovative products based on remote sensing data. We are currently in phase of international expansion and are offering the opportunity to be part of a growth story. We are looking for a new team member with "can do" attitude, who will be ensuring the sales of our valuable features (including Datel's new product for illegal construction detection for Spanish market) that meet stakeholder needs. Previous knowledge of the space domain is not necessary and we will provide insight to get a picture of the domain.
ABOUT THE ROLE
What you will be doing:
- Developing the Spanish market
Identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential customers in Spain to drive sales growth while adapting to cultural, linguistic, and market-specific nuances.
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships
Building trust, providing consistent value, and fostering long-term partnerships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty in the Spanish market.
- Managing the whole sales process
Overseeing the entire journey from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and efficient progression through each stage while meeting customer needs and achieving sales targets in the Spanish market, which would include the following:
- Market Research: Identify target audiences, understand local market trends, and gather competitor insights.
- Prospecting: Generate leads through networking, outreach, and leveraging local platforms or events.
- Initial Contact: Personally reach out to prospects via emails, calls, or meetings to introduce the product or service.
- Presentations and Pitches: Create and deliver tailored presentations or demos to showcase value and address client needs.
- Relationship Building: Develop rapport with clients, establishing trust and credibility by understanding their goals and challenges.
- Negotiations: Handle pricing discussions, contract terms, and objections to secure agreements.
- Closing Deals: Finalize contracts, ensure proper documentation, and oversee onboarding if applicable.
- Follow-Up: Provide post-sale support, address concerns, and maintain ongoing communication to foster loyalty.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track progress, measure KPIs, and refine strategies based on outcomes.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle CRM updates, invoices, and any back-office tasks necessary to maintain smooth operations.
- Collecting and analysing market information
Gathering data on customer preferences, competitor activities, industry trends, and economic factors, then interpreting this information to identify opportunities, refine strategies, and make informed decisions to drive sales success.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
● Proficiency in Spanish at a high level
● Experience working with Spanish market
● Proven B2B sales experience
● Proven CRM experience
● Ability to work and plan independently
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Positive attitude and excellent teamwork capabilities
● “Can-do” attitude

- Close collaboration with the product owner who provides support, has market experience, and speaks the language
